"Welcome aboard"
If you're new to Mango Airways,
then before you get too far along, why not step south into a different lattitude, the
place where a cold drink and a dream are all you need.
Undo that top button,
kick off your shoes and if just for a second, believe that anything is possible. You
have the ability to travel to the tropics and live the life of a wandering sailboat captain.
The bartender at La Floridita knows what you're drinking and the federales know you as el hombre.
Now, both Chris and I are both from Texas and believe us, we know the value of hard work,
and the reasons we work hard to do what we do and feed that tiny little piggy bank out back.
You see, that's what Mango Airways does. We bring you the adventures so you can
actually turn that daydream of telling stories with Hemingway in Key West into a real thing
and actually head south to test your luck with the great marlin of the stream, or hey, even
just a pleasure cruise to that place on your calendar.
What we do is to take you to places you might not otherwise or ever be able to see.
If there's an adventure, we'll take you. We're currently updating our site with info about
our planes, our past destinations and even a short history lesson on Mango Airways.
So why not throw your life to the winds, hop a steam ship, cast for that giant marlin,
make that dream come true, if just once, and discover the adventure thats been calling you.

Meet your Pilots
Chris
Wall enjoys tinkering with the mechanical parts of
Dreamcatcher almost as much as he enjoys flying their flagship
aircraft. As a result, Chris is responsible for most – if
not all – of the maintenance work on the plane. And if
you're ever lucky enough to have the opportunity to fly aboard
her, then you'll find great comfort in knowing that the pilot
in the right seat can fix any problem that might arise.
Now 23, Chris Wall is completing hi
undergraduate work att Rice University, where he is studying Electrical Engineering.
In order to allow for his time to fly their historic route
around the world, Chris front-loaded his course schedule with
all of his major courses of study so that he could complete
them before leaving on WorldFlight2000. Now he just needs to
complete some of the minor course requirements for graduation.
While attending school full time, Chris also works as an Airplane Mechanic (A/P) at West Houston Airport (IWS). Chris has been flying for over
six years and has logged time in many different
aircraft from single-engine trainers to the four engine B-17 Bomber.
Chris has always been a leader in education. As
El Paso's Coronado
High School Class President in 1997, along with being National
Honor Society President, and a National Merit Scholar, Chris
envisioned and created programs which spread involvement in
the community and shared his enthusiasm about learning. Upon
graduating from Coronado, Chris co-founded GAF, Inc. with Dan to give students a better
opportunity to give back to their communities.
Chris enjoys working on airplanes, flying, skiing, teaching kids about computers, fly-fishing,
playing guitar, and traveling.
Dan
Dominguez likes to talk about flight and flying to just about
anyone who'll listen. Whether that's some classroom of
ten-year-olds or a one-on-one bull session with some World War
II vet, the chance to talk about what he loves most about life
on the ground and in the air never slips by this guy.
Only a full month older than Chris, Dan
was born on the near side of the July 31st boundary that
separates each age/grade group in El Paso. Though he is also
23, he has received his Economics degree from the University of Rochester
in upstate New York.
Dan also works as a flight instructor,
as well as a commercial pilot, and he is fluent in Spanish, French, and English,
which enables him to further enjoy learning about different cultures throughout the world.
Dan has been flying for over six years and has logged over three
thousand hours in dozens of different aircraft throughout North America and the world. His first passenger was Chris, and since then, the duo
have been flying together as a crew.
Dan enjoys wind-surfing, skiing, working on airplanes, flying, speaking to classrooms,
playing guitar, fishing, writing, and traveling.

"You love a lot of things if you live around them, but there isn't any woman and there isn't any horse, nor any before nor any after, that is as lovely as a great airplane, and men who love them are faithful to them even though they leave them for others."

"London Fights the Robots"
August, 1944
The current flag ship of Mango Airways is the infamous
"Dreamcatcher." She is widely known for taking us around the
world back in fall of 2000. She was completely restored to better
than new condition over the last four years by professional shops
throughout the United States.
Dreamcatcher is a vintage Aerocommander 560E.
She is polished aluminum and is easily distinguishable by her
vivid colors and mirror finish. She not only inbibes the aventure
of vintage airplanes, but was once a drug airplane in her time, serving
the South America routes all the way to the Bahamas. Able to survive the
story seas of narcotics trafficing in her darker years, she was abandoned
in the late ninety's where we found her. Four years of work, all new parts,
state of the art navigation systems and new powerplant systems have now created
a flying relic.
Dreamcatcher took to the Skies on September 13, 2000 to connect
school kids from around the world in her maiden adventure flight, which took us around
the world. She holds within her the dreams, a world record, and in her time has
shared with thousands the great oceans, mountains, deserts,
jungles and excitement of aviation.
Dreamcatcher houses some of the most advanced avionics,
instrumentation, and satellite equipment to date.
From satellite tracking equipment, to video cameras,
the Aircraft will provide a research base for the flight.
Dreamcatcher's avionics allow us to navigate
through all types of weather, terrain and climates, to visit those distant
locations most aircraft could never dream of visiting.
Her large and sturdy landing gear allow us to settle down softly on most beaches,
and carry large loads in and out of busy metropolitan airports without modification.
Her seats have carried past presidents, smugglers, sailors, runaways, and even a few vagabond
travelers have peered from her windows. So when you climb aboard our roomy cabin, grab
a seat on that comfortable couch or captains chairs, there might have been someone
who once sat in that same place, someone who was heading south, aboard
Aerocommander #559, flying low over the tree tops, masked by the Caribbean night sky,
and low enough to smell the waters below...
